Morning Fluff: California resident Elaine Bouschard and her grandson, Taylor, were stunned last weekend when an 8-week-old puppy fell from the sky — it had been dropped by a passing hawk.

“My thought is that when God drops a puppy from the sky, you keep it,” Bouschard said. “I actually think God just dropped me a baby to have for Mother’s day, so this is my baby for Mother’s Day!”

The puppy opened his eyes for the first time Wednesday.

OOF. Why couldn’t I have come up with this last week? I could have plastered all of Boston with this! I suppose I still could, but it just wouldn’t be the same.

This was something I put together over the last few hours, I wasted a great deal of that time on nearly invisible details then deleting them all when I saw how busy this was getting. The centering on nearly everything looks off to me, and I feel like something is missing but as usual can’t say just what it is. I thought about adding his necklace/shoulder pads, but..I don’t know. Like my thrown together logo/watermark? Masterpiece, that bit is.

The last time I asked for critique from internet strangers it didn’t pan out as well as I hoped, I didn’t get any. So if you’ve read this far and have any suggestions/ideas on how you think this piece can be improved-please let me know! You’re not going to hurt my feelings and I’m not going to get irrational. If you are interested in this as a print or you want a ‘logo’-less version for flyering, that’s cool too. Just drop me a line and we’ll work something out.
