Thanks to the success of that Dante’s Inferno video game, Wired proposes ten other literary classics that should have new life breathed into them via PlayStations.
I am totally on board with the idea of a Huck Finn video game. Also: Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man? YES. (Although Wired’s description of that one makes it sound like they combined Ellison with Wells. Either that or they didn’t want to get into the whole “race” thing on their nice video game post.)
I think they missed a few, though. Because come on, what about a White Noise video game where you’re having to fight your way through florescent supermarkets in the midst of a chemical disaster? Or Paradise Lost, where you play as Satan?
