I decided to start a new blog to post in-depth examinations of my favorite daily e-mail that I don’t remember having ever signed up for, Comedy Central’s Jokes.com Joke of the Day. Follow it or don’t!
ccjokeoftheday:

A police officer saw a car speeding down the highway.
He started chasing after the speeder . When he got close he’s saw it was a blonde woman who was actually knitting while driving.
The cop yelled, “Pull over!”
The blonde shouted back, “No! It’s a sweater!”

Although the joke states the cop went in pursuit of the woman for speeding, her actions would imply the cop had intended to pull her over for erratic driving. Since the cop must have had to pull up to the side of the car to look in the driver side window to notice the woman had been knitting, we can assume he was on a motorcycle instead of a squad car. Why he felt it necessary to break protocol and attempt to discover the source of the problem before having the car pull over is up for debate.
A “pullover” is a type of clothing. Since the woman had been knitting, it makes sense that she could have mistaken the command “pull over” for the cop guessing what garment she was knitting. What’s odd about the whole exchange is that sweaters are a type of pullover, so if the cop was actually guessing he was technically right.
Blondes are typically stereotyped as being especially dumb or absent-minded. Therefore, the joke necessitates that the character be a blonde woman to cover her misconception of the phrase “pull over” (blonde) and her reckless driving (woman). The joke would be confusing if the woman were brunette (especially bitchy) or a redhead (especially psychotic).
“He’s saw” is a grammatical error.
