I accidentally laughed at a woman whose face got wrecked up by a monkey.
I was at the gym today, working out and listening to WTF with Marc Maron. A guy comes in, gets on a machine next to me and turns the TV on to Oprah. She was interviewing Charla Nash, the woman who was viciously beaten up by a 200 pound chimp and was now going public to talk about her injuries. Naturally when they unveiled her I felt compelled to look over. At the same time, either Marc Maron or Zach Galifianakis says something hilarious and I involuntarily laugh out loud.
The guy on the machine looks over at me, sees me laughing while staring at this woman who had her face destroyed by a monkey, gives me a dirty look and goes back to his workout. So now, because I was enjoying a podcast, some random guy thinks I’m a complete asshole. Which is bad for me since I’m the kind of guy to let something like that bother me.
